What I'm missing the most...

There has been a lot of things I've missed while being on bed rest...

Like today I made Evy a tent (it took like 3 minutes), but I couldn't get under and really play with her.  I hate that.

I missed Leland's fall festival, parent/teacher conf. and his field trip to the zoo. I hate that.

Livingston used to beg me to "get up" and pull on me when she wanted something. Now she knows to holler for someone else. I hate that.

I try not to use the word hate because it's such strong/permanent language....but I hate not being Mama to my kids.

But what I really have missed the most is enjoying fall outdoors with my family.

I get so jealous seeing pictures online of friends and their families enjoying all the seasonal festivities.

It's my favorite season.
I love it all.
Hikes through the jeweled toned woods.
Roasting marsh mellows and hot dogs around a hot fire.
Picking out pumpkins with the kids.
Playing in the leaves and watching them collect their favorites.
Visiting Reid's Orchard for apple picking and an apple slushie.
Decorating the house and planning costumes.
Bundled up under blankets while watching football games.
Baking yummy treats to share with others.
Enjoying afternoons of just cool weather and making family memories.

Here are some memories to tide me over until next week...

Fall Decor

Just some of our fall decor!
My heart grows even more fond of our home every season that passes.
I'm sure it has to do with the memories that are piling up as we live our lives together!
We added leaves to the light fixture over our dining room table.
I thought it turned out great!
Our front door wreath.
The stairs garland
Mums that the Man planted and one of our huge punkins!
Welcome fall!

this is fall? and product reviews

Can this really be fall?

As you can tell from my very wet pumpkin, it's been raining here pretty much non-stop!

Ugh!

That's how I really feel about it. Especially, since I've felt pretty yucky today.

I've tried a few new products out on the market and wanted to give my opinions. Cause I know everyone wants to here my opinions! : )

Purex 3-in-1 laundry sheets:

I (so far) have LOVED these things. They really work well and are very convienent!

You should try them out.

Arm & Hammer Oxi Clean carpet cleaner:

I could really tell after using this and vacuuming, that dirt came up easier and my carpet smells yummy. And continued to smell after I vacuumed the next time! Gotta love that.

So try these new products out and see for yourself!
(i promise arm&hammer and purrex are not paying me)

haha!

now off to watch more of Big BLUE MADNESS and try to get over this wanna-be cold!

a week of The Perfect Fall Day

Ok soo I had the PERFECT fall day yesterday. It was so many combinations of my favorite fall things. I took oh too many pictures to make one blog. So I had a fun idea to spread it out for this enitre week! So tomorrow, I will post a few pics and so on each day.

But today, is just a normal post. I definitely wanted to thank you my friends for your sweet comments of encouragment on my last post on just being honest. I've thought about making a weekly Just Being Honest to encourage me and others to be more vulnerable about who we really are.

in other news...

Em...is soo in love with her "lellow shoes" that she won't take them off,
and now has blisters. Gotta love that natural take the pain for pretty shoes
instincts. haha!
they are cute, though!
My parents just took a wonderful trip up north to Niagra Falls and then down the
New England Coast. She said they were a few weeks early for the leaves change, but it was still gorgeous. I love that my Moma still brings us home stuff from her trips. She brought us Vermont, a cute fall plate, and Pumpkin Cheesecake Mix. So sweet!
And finally, can you believe my NIECE is ELEVEN... yes that is right....

Time flies, and I can remember holding her at the hospital like yesterday.
We are soo proud of the beautiful, talented, and Godly young woman she has become!

Have a blessed Sunday!
Enjoy the rest of your Lord's Day!
