Lots of Birthdays around here....

Here is one...
I had the complete pleasure of surprising one of my besties, Christin for her Big 3-0!!!
We drove down and got in on all the fun her honey had planned for her.
It was a complete blast. Here are some pics I snapped that weekend!

Her and Luke opening presents!
Sweet Lyla
The birthday girl surrounded by her fabulous family and friends. It was so great to see everyone!!!
Her mom's yummy cake.

We got to stay that night and the next day with their family. It was great to see the kids and how big they are getting.
The kids got this new house and were very proud of it. I bought pretend food from the window most of the afternoon! : )
The Men...Scott helped Jason creat a floor for the kids new house.
Beautiful Brenna
Handsome Luke
Cutie Pa Tootie Ally Campbell

It was such a fun weekend and I can't believe Christin and I didn't get a good picture together.
Oh well, memories count as much as photos. We didn't want to leave.

Before we left town, we stopped to eat her on the square. It was so quaint and delicious.
What a great weekend away!

Sweet Boys

These are some of my favorite boys...
It was such a gorgeous day to run around playing in the park with these sweet guys.
The weather was perfect, the boys were happy and especially cute in their Easter clothes.

Makes for good photos which makes for a happy photographer!

These guys were just too cute for their own good!

Their mommy and daddy saved these giant lollipops and decided to let them have them for the photos! It was soo much fun that I'm going to do a whole post SOON just on those pics.

But here are a few....

Doesn't it look like fun!

Nothing like a good rain and God's Word to soothe the soul.
The Lord is my shepherd; I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside calm waters.
Psalm 23:1-2

{This is one of my favorite treasures left on our property by the previous owners.}

Getting dirty!

Haha! Get your minds out of the gutter people.
I'm talking about dirt from the ground!

I would love to plant more stuff around here, but we've been so busy lately.
So I started small.

It's fun to get dirty! I guess because I grew up playing in the dirt growing up on a farm and all. We played in the fields, used mud puddles for Barbie's ocean, and dug plenty of mud for our pies and such! I guess digging in the dirt makes me think of childhood.

Quite different for this little girl. She is my mentee and HATES (with a capital H) getting dirty. She does love to play outside, thank goodness!
We plated my herb seeds the other day. Which I'm a little nervous about because it doesn't seem to be sprouting. My friend the other day told me that it's hard to get herbs from seeds so I might go buy some plants to put in there too. We'll see.

She said she had never planted anything so this was a fun thing to teach her!

Newest crafty book I'm in love with...

Every soo often I seem to fall in love with a new project:
Whether it be:
cooking from my new Pioneer Woman cookbook
trying out the latest craft from Martha Stewart's magazine
learning new photo angles from Jasmine Star's blog
a new crochet pattern from a book from the library or Key {Scott's grandma}
or scraping a new layout I saw in an old scrapbooking magazine from my cousin

well, this is my newest batch of projects.
the book itself is gorgeous.
These are just two of the MANY I want to try to make.
I love those pom-poms no matter what they are added to, but I'm especially excited to add them to a cute pillow!
There are a few felt projects in here and I've always wanted to work with felt.
Looks like now is the time!
These would be great to make and keep to add to baby shower gifts in the future!
All in all, I'm pretty sure this little sweet book is going to keep me very busy!
