What the Pioneer Woman gets me into....

I love to eat meat! Love it! But I really don't like handling it before it's cooked. Especially chicken...it just grosses me out. But I read this recipe on the Pioneer Woman's website that looked cool and easy.

Baking a WHOLE chicken...with herbs.

I mean look at this thing...it is U-G-L-Y ...it ain't got no alibi...It's ugly!!!

But a coating in herbs and oil makes it look a little better.

Don't forget to cut up some apples and onions to stuff in it's booty! Yes, I really had to put my hand up in there!

All while following directions from The Man's MAC...he loves when I bring it in the kitchen among liquids and mess....not really. : )

So I'm sure we can all agree that it WAS ugly, but look at it now.

Sometimes...

Sometimes marriage is hard. Sometimes I want to gripe. Sometimes I want to scream. Sometimes I want to crawl inside a hole. Sometimes I want to body slam my husband. Sometimes I don't want to say I'm sorry. Sometimes I don't want to compromise. Sometimes I don't want to talk. Sometimes I don't feel like serving, loving and honoring my husband.

Sometimes marriage is hard.

This is not one of those times. This is one of those times where I can see fully why God placed The Man directly into my life at the perfect time. This is one of those times that anyone else wouldn't understand. This is one of those times where a singing fish on a plaque is better than the typical red roses. This is one of those times where a good back massage is just the medicine I need everyday for a week straight. This is one of those times where he lets me be mean and doesn't quickly correct me. This is one of those times that he lets me tickle him (even though he hates it) just because he knows it makes me feel better. This is one of those times where he listens to me for a good hour without being distracted. This is one of those times where I feel him pointing me to Jesus by his response. This is one of those times that he lets me lay my head on his shoulder even when his arm is asleep. This is one of those times he lets me order out for my lunch hour even though we shouldn't really spend the money. This is one of those times when he lets you see the movie you've been wanting to see. This is one of the times when he helps me remember tasks that are too important to forget. This is one of those times that he lets me read quietly beside him for hours because he knows that I want to finish this book. This is one of the times when he is so honest it makes me feel that have bonds that will never brake. This is one of the times when he offers to do a photo session (on the tripod) even though it's hot and he'd rather not be taking photos.

Sometimes marriage is tough.
This is not one of those times.

RockSTAR

I went to recent Rock concert...errr, elementary school talent show.

My niece, nephew and competition were part of the competition.

They were unbelievable!

Har sang "Girl put records on" beautifully.

Peytie, Aaron, and the boys conquered the Beatles "8 Days a Week"

They took 1st place!!!

all of our families were pretty proud to be related to the RockStars!!!!

music to my ears....

Music always can give me great insight, joyous feelings and even sharpen me.

But this newest music I found through Girl Talk.
It's Seeds Family Worship (I took that as kids music) and thought it would be good for the youth at the ministry I serve at. Maybe even to keep at our house or in the car for all the littles in our life {and future}. But after listening to the songs....ALL AFTERNOON.... I'm in love. It really is scripture set to music. It could help with memorization, but it also is just great melodies too! Enjoy and FIND JOY listening to the Word of God!
