Creating Lovely things... Thank you Key!

When I was a little girl in around the 4th grade, I learned to crochet. It was fun then, but I stopped being interested in the art as I grew older. Lately, I'd wanted to pick it back up...but marjorly needed a refresher course.
Scott's grandmother, Key has made us several afigans and is wonderfully talented. Her and I sat down one night to remind me of some stiches and basics. I'm hooked..haha! I crack myself up!
Here are a few lovelies made recently by my own two hands:
A Hat for Baby Fynn...he'll be here soon.
I found this yarn that was just gorgeous! To me it seemed the perfect symbol for fall. It represents the many colors and will keep me super warm!

I thought I did pretty good if I say so myself!

Now I'm all set for the chillier nights of autumn.
Off to finish a chapter of Anne of Green Gables.
If there were only more Cordillias in this world : )

this is fall? and product reviews

Can this really be fall?

As you can tell from my very wet pumpkin, it's been raining here pretty much non-stop!

Ugh!

That's how I really feel about it. Especially, since I've felt pretty yucky today.

I've tried a few new products out on the market and wanted to give my opinions. Cause I know everyone wants to here my opinions! : )

Purex 3-in-1 laundry sheets:

I (so far) have LOVED these things. They really work well and are very convienent!

You should try them out.

Arm & Hammer Oxi Clean carpet cleaner:

I could really tell after using this and vacuuming, that dirt came up easier and my carpet smells yummy. And continued to smell after I vacuumed the next time! Gotta love that.

So try these new products out and see for yourself!
(i promise arm&hammer and purrex are not paying me)

haha!

now off to watch more of Big BLUE MADNESS and try to get over this wanna-be cold!

Photoshop...

I got something in the mail the other day that rocked my world!!! Yep, finally Photoshop Elements. I know spending a $130 on something doesn't seem like such a big deal, but around here it is! My Man made it work and ordered it for me. I was soo excited. I've been playing around a little. I learned how to use Photoshop in college since I was a Print Design, Advertising Major. But that was oh...several years ago. I'm re-learning!

What do you think?

and

What are your favorite photo editing software (web or other)?

Perfect Autumn Day...Take FIVE (The END for those of you tired of this game)

So after the library, we came home and made chilli & grilled cheese for supper!
Then we went back outdoors for some last of the day play!
frisbee. (they are pretty competitive)
walking scruffles...he loved it too!
placing our pumpkins in the perfect spaces!

Then we let the kids make mini apple pies.
The easiest and a lot fun!
Mix fresh cooked apples...JUST KIDDING ( i would love to do that when we have
more time), but seriously mix together apple pie filling & other spices in a bowl.
Make a homemade crust...haha...gotcha again. Roll out the pre-made crust, and
cut out circles with a cup!
let everyone be involved, even if you have to help them!
put the circles in a muffin tin
cut out enough circles to fill the whole pan, and then let the Boy play with the rest!
after he's done making snakes and stuff...roll it back out and cut stars with cookie cutter.
aren't they cute!
Fill the circles with the pie mixture and put stars on top.
Bake at 350 degrees and everyone EAT em'
they were soo yummy!

and we had the Perfect Autumn Day!

Perfect Autumn Day...Take FOUR

What better than a good book...curled up reading it on a cool, crisp Autumn Day.
We finished up our afternoon at the Public Library.
They have an excellent kids area.
Peytie loves to read.
Emerson loves to read.
Are you catching a trend...all of my nieces and nephew LOVE to read. Although Har loves to read too, her and the Man are playing trivia cards.
I even found some great finds.
What a lovely day.

The Perfect Autumn Day...Take Three

When my cousin Cindy said she knew a pumpkin patch where we could get FREE pumpkins, I was all about it because of the FREE part. I wasn't expecting to drive ten minutes down a dirt road and climb a hill to reveal THIS! There were probably a 1,000 pumpkins growing over these rolling hills! We started our hunt for the GREAT PUMPKIN (or 6 or 7).

love this pic.
it's the sweetest light and moment of my Man helping Little Bit up on top the pumpkin!

Har posing while taking a break from pumpkin picking.
Peytie being strong man lifting HUGE pumpkins!
pumpkins pumpkins everywhere!
The MAN was extremely MANLY in cutting our pumpkins off their vines
so we could take them home.
She was soo excited about her pumpkin finds.
Cyndie helped us load up the pumpkins...both our cars were packed!

then we finally had to say goodbye to the perfect pumpkin patch

but not before we snapped this great picture to remember such a fun day!
